Many business owners fear social media because it’s a revolutionary method of lead generation and they don’t know how to fully optimise it. But it’s not that hard when you know what you are doing.

Trick question. All of them. You need to be on all social media platforms. However, that doesn’t mean that you have to use all of them.

Learn how to merge social media into your life. You can do that by spending 30 minutes a day on producing content.
It’s better to do one post a week than one post a month. It’s better to commit to a minimum standard of performance by doing one post every other day and be consistent at it.
Niche Your Marketing Message
Imagine within the social media world that you’re talking to one person.
So, by talking about whatever your chosen niche is, that’s going to start to attract those types of people.
You become the influencer and the expert.
What that’s going to enable you to do is grow your reach, the number of people who see your posts.
Niching your message will tell you where you should focus your efforts.
For example, 71% of Pinterest users are female. 34% earn between $50,000 and $74,999 per year. If your target audience is females with an above-average salary, Pinterest is where you should really be pushing out most of your content.
To Generate Leads for Free, Encourage Engagement
Encourage comments, shares and likes. Seems like a no brainer, but it will make you more visible on social media.
If you make something inspirational, motivational or educational, then it could get shared, organically growing your following.
And this is the secret to getting qualified leads for free with social media.
First, encourage comments, next encourage shares and then ask for the sale.
Create a Lead Magnet
A lead magnet is a free item or service that enables you to gather contact details for those that sign up for it.
A lead magnet could be something on your website that someone can download. Something that is going to solve a problem for them, or ask a question for them.
From there, you can put them into a sequence of emails, putting them onto YOUR database. That’s going to keep the relationship going for the long term and grow your business.
