Don’t recruit people that are just like you. The first person you hire needs to have the opposite skill set to you. I let my best mate buy into my business (bad Idea) People need to be monitored. Culture drives the tram. You need to sit with people and train them for at least a week. Can you help them achieve their dreams and goals? Just because you like somebody doesn’t mean they will be able to get the job. Hiring could be a 4 or 5 stage process. Play the numbers game… Like dating. My biggest mistake has been hiring people slowly and getting rid of them fast.
